A: You can always use an Estate Agent; but remember:
- Most Parisian estate agents cover only a very small local area (much smaller than an arrondissement) – so you’ll need to visit a lot of them unless you’re looking at a very specific area.
- The price that you see will include their fees – typically 7% to 10% of the basic price. Because we source mainly from private sellers, you immediately get better value for money.
And remember – an Estate Agent can sell only what’s on their books: we search for what YOU want, not what they have to sell.
A: We think so! As well as finding you your ideal property, our services include helping you with all the legal work and sorting out the electricity, ’phone, rates and so on, and finding local artisans to do any improvements that you need. And don’t forget, our personal service starts when we meet you at the Gare du Nord to show you the first of the properties that we’ve found and continues until you’re completely happy with your new purchase.
A: Yes indeed: we are registered for the giving of such financial advice and have connections with a number of mortgage lenders. Please note that we are NOT registered Mortgage Brokers, but we can assist you with all aspects of finding your ideal mortgage, including explaining any pitfalls that may crop up. And when you come to send your deposit to France, we can put you in touch with excellent currency-transfer organisations too.
A: We are a small, personal property-finding service: we specialise in doing what we know and do best – Paris. But we have associates in other parts of France if you would like a similar service elsewhere.
A: We certainly can – and will. We’ll talk with you about your desires and aspirations, your lifestyle, your budget, and anything else that is important to you to help us to guide you towards your ideal location. We’ll also steer you away from the less desirable areas – and the difference can often be just a few streets apart.
